11-18-08 Laura Skelding AMERICAN-STATESMAN Dr. Tom Garza, a professor at the University of Texas, is an expert on vampires and teaches a course titled ‘The Vampire in Slavic Cultures’ every other year. He poses with one of his favorite original theater posters used in an Italian movie house in 1964 when the film – translated as – Satan’s Mask, was released. It was directed by Mario Bava and was a spaghetti horror film with a low budget, but amazingly scary, according to Garza.
